About Us... Vestry Members
The Vestry is the main governing body of an Episcopal Church. The people listed below are St. David's church members who are currently serving on our Vestry.
 |
- Cathy Ciccone (2012 -2015) Resides in Highland Park, has been attending St. David’s since September, 2009. Cathy has been a member of the Bell Choir for two years and also serves as a Scrip Associate. She has two sons - Greg who lives with his wife Maria, and their two daughters, and Christopher who lives in Durham, North Carolina. Cathy also has a stepdaughter who lives in Northern California. Cathy enjoys volunteering in amateur video and is helping at Baldwin Theatre and Stagecrafters in Royal Oak. |

- Joan Elkins (2010-2012) I have been attending St. David’s since 1987 with my family and have been involved with teaching Sunday school, was the treasurer of St. Martha’s guild for many years, and have been very involved with the Haiti Outreach Mission since its beginning and have gone almost every year on the mission trips doing dental work. I have 2 grown children (Leah and Keith), a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law and 2 beautiful grandchildren. St David’s is a great parish and I am so grateful to be a part of it. |

- Taylor Lindemann (2012-2015) lives in Southfield and has been attending St. David’s along with her mother, Cathy Howard-Lindemann, for about five years. Taylor graduated from Southfield-Lathrup High School where she first met Hawah and Nyonnohwah Freeman. Taylor is finishing up classes in elementary education at Oakland Community College. Taylor hopes to bring youth and a sense of energy to the Vestry. She hopes to have fresh, new ideas for people and is looking forward to getting more involved at St. David’s. The Administration Commission of the Vestry interests her most. |

- Ray Litwinowicz (2012-2015) has been attending St. David’s with his family since August 2010. He lives in Royal Oak and is married to Cindy Hampel-Litwinowicz. They have three sons, Luke, John, and Noah. Ray works as a software engineer for the Siemens Company in Troy. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and doing upkeep projects around their house. At St. David’s, Ray has been helping with the upkeep of our kitchen and also joined the recently formed Men’s Group. He is looking forward to serving on the Vestry. The building and grounds aspect of the vestry is the part that is most appealing to him, but Ray added, “I’ll do my best to help wherever I can.” |

- Maureen Mahar, Sr Warden (2011-2013)

- Carol Wells (2011-2013) While Carol Mack Wells has been a member of St. David's for only two years she has lived in the Detroit area since leaving Dayton, Ohio and graduating from Miami University in 1968. She has lived in Southfield since 1979 where both of her sons Richard and Ryan attended Southfield Lathrup High School and later graduated from the University of Michigan. With a long career in higher education, Carol has worked as a Director of Admissions at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a Director of Community Relations at Wayne State University and currently is employed at Wayne County Community College District as a Vice President of the Corporate College at the Eastern Campus. She is looking forward to an active retirement next year to spend more time with Richard's family which includes his wife Pam and their son, her grandson, Jeremiah, visit her son Ryan in New York City, spend more time with her husband, Charles Wells III, and become more active at St. David's. |

- Len Sackett, Treasurer Leonard Sackett has been a member of St. David’s for over 37 years and has lived in Berkley all that time with his wife Joanne. Both of their children graduated from Berkley High School, one attended U of M and the other MSU. Leonard graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in mechanical engineering, worked for General Motors and, when he retired in 2001, he was an engineering group manager in the Powertrains Division. He has served on the St. David’s Vestry several times over the years and has held both the Senior Warden and Junior Warden positions on the Vestry. At the present time, he is active member of the St. David’s Haiti Outreach Committee, St. David’s Hammer and Nail Team, and serves on the Diocesan Standing Committee.
