Deacon Intern... Susan Brooks

Susan Brooks came to St. David’s in May of 2009 as our Deacon Intern.
She was born and raised on the east coast and has lived in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Michigan. Susan spent her career in social service agencies including five Girl Scout Councils, the YWCA, the YMCA, Casa Maria Community Center in SW Detroit and Paws With A Cause. She has a BA in Sociology from Immaculata College in Pennsylvania and an MA in Management & Supervision and Personnel Management from Central Michigan University.
Susan is in the process of discerning a call to Ordination as a Deacon and is taking classes through the Diocesan Program in Whitaker School of Theology. Her ministries include homelessness, food justice issues and healing and eliminating racism.
Susan lives in Lathrup Village with her two dogs, Violet and Pumpkin.
