The Rev Chris Yaw, Rector

Fr. Chris Yaw became our rector in October of 2007.  Born in Detroit, Chris is active in parish outreach activities involving homelessness and poverty. 

Chris previously spent six years as Associate Rector at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan.  A former television journalist, Fr. Chris holds MDiv. and ThM. degrees from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California, and studied for one year at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, UK. 

In 2008, Chris published, Jesus Was an Episcopalian (And You Can Be One Too!).  He is active in several community and diocesan organizations.  He and Natalie married in 2003, they make their home in Detroit.
