St. David's Episcopal Church derives its name from St. David, the patron saint of Wales, England. This year we honored him during our service on March 6th (March 1st, St. David's Day, is a holiday in Wales for this saint).

On Sunday, January 16th, St. David's along with other Southfield area churches participated in a service project hosted by the "Lift Up Southfield" organization. Everyone met at the Forgotten Harvest warehouse for a 'box lunch' and to pack food into smaller boxes for easy distribution to area food pantries for the hungry.

The Southfield Parks & Garden Club is using part of our grounds for a Community Garden. All produce grown will be given to the Forgotten Harvest organization.
Plant bed preparation is now complete and planting will begin in the spring 2010.
