Musical Opportunities at Saint David’s Episcopal Church

Adult Opportunities:

The Chancel Choir (open to all those in high school and up) rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 p.m. and sings the Choral Eucharist on every Sunday and all feast days.

The Handbell Choir (open to all those in high school and up) rehearses on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and plays for one Sunday service per month.

The Gospel Choir (open to all those in high school and up) rehearses on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6:00-7:00p.m. The group sings for at least one Sunday service per month and participates on many feast days.

The Taizé Choir is an ad hoc group that provides music for our quarterly evening services in the style of Taizé. Upcoming services will be announced in parish publications.

Cantors and Vocal Soloists perform specific liturgical pieces, including introits, antiphons, sacred solo works, and the plainchant Passion Gospel, which has become a Holy Week tradition.
Instrumentalists are always warmly welcomed and can be included in our worship.

Music Volunteers are invited to assist the Organist and Choirmaster with Children’s Choir rehearsals and organizational tasks.

Children/Youth Musical Opportunities:

The Kristal Ringers (open to ages 4-8) meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 10:00am-10:45am. This is an introductory ensemble to begin teaching music at a young age through color.

The Bella Vocé Voices (BV2) (open to ages 8-16) also meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 11:00am-12:00pm. This is a youth choir meant to teach developing voices with varying degrees of ability in a fun environment.
