Volunteering... with Prayer... Daughters of the King
Sisters of Bethany Chapter, Chapter 3474

The Daughters of the King is an Order devoted to prayer, service, and evangelism.

The Motto of the Order
For His Sake . . .I am one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
What I can do, I will do.
What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?

Our Business meeting is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm in the meeting room.
Our Book Study meeting is on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the meeting room.

Our new book, Ears to Hear by Edward S. Little comes with high recommendations, and we hope it will inspire and enlighten us.

The Daughters are currently praying for those who submit prayer requests, and "Healing Prayers" are offered on Sundays following communion at the late service. These prayers may be for healing of mind, body, and spirit for yourself, a family member or friend or for any situation of concern.  Prayers may be requested for personal need or for a need in our world.

The Sisters of Bethany continue their prayers for the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake.  May God’s grace and love be showered on them as they move toward recovery!

Did you know that there are about twelve members of the Daughters of the King at St. David’s?  Did you know that the Daughters of the King is an international religious order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church? Did you know that Margaret J. Franklin instituted the Order on Easter eve, 1885?

Anyone woman interested in learning more about the Daughters of the King is invited to join us during the Book Study meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month or just speak to any one of the Daughters at St. David’s, or call the Church Office (248-557-5430).

Peace be with you,
Julie Wagner, President
